The FDB Møbler J165B barstool designed by Jørgen Bækmark which features an attractive woven paper cord seat and perfect bar height. Its sober and elegant design will make it a decorative and functional piece in your interior!

A seat dressed in ultra-graphic natural wicker weaving, a conical base underlined by a set of crosspieces of variable height, the J165B bar stool shines with its elegant and minimalist line. It is made of FSC-certified solid oak, with a natural or lacquered finish. Multifunctional, it is installed in front of an open kitchen counter or a high bar table, in front of a kitchen island or a conference desk. Its Scandinavian aesthetic twisted by the sophisticated caning of the seat has not aged a bit and this seat is definitely one of the sure values of 20th century Danish design.

FDB is a Danish company created in the 1940s by 2 young designers. Now, 75 years later, the company is reviving old classics while creating new designs.

Story of Jørgen Bækmark (1929 - 2021)

Jørgen Bækmark is responsible for several iconic Danish pieces of furniture. From 1958 and for nine years, he headed the design studio of FDB Møbler, where he helped make designer furniture accessible to everyone. Drawing inspiration from the Danish design tradition, his furniture is distinguished by its beauty and calmness, as well as its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. His furniture exudes a unique harmony, as evidenced by his classic J80 and J81 dining chairs. But above all, Jørgen Bækmark has always strived to make furniture that is pleasant to sit in.

Designer

Jørgen Bækmark est à l'origine de plusieurs meubles danois emblématiques. À partir de 1958 et pendant neuf ans, il a dirigé le studio de design de FDB Møbler, où il a contribué à rendre le mobilier design accessible à tous.

S'inspirant de la tradition du design danois, ses meubles se distinguent par leur beauté et leur calme, ainsi que par leur qualité d'exécution et leur souci du détail.
