FDB Møbler is a Danish company created in the 1940s by 2 young designers. Now, 75 years later, the company is reviving old classics while creating new designs.
Stine Weigelt graduated from Kolding School of Design in 2014. She is based in Aarhus and in her collaboration with FDB Møbler she has shed new light on what constitutes good furniture today. She has already designed a spindle back chair and a coffee table for FDB Møbler. His latest creation for the company is a bar stool and a bar table. The furniture designed by Stine Weigelt is distinguished by its rigorous and simple style, where everything superfluous has been eliminated. His work is imbued with respect for the heritage of FDB Møbler, yet he boldly challenges the status quo and explores new ways of creating furniture. Its existential starting point is the search for solutions with a high degree of functionality, aesthetics and quality, as well as synergistic effects.
