Børge Mogensen's FDB Møbler J45 chair was a revolutionary piece when it was designed in 1950. An iconic work, it demonstrates timeless and ergonomic design through its organic forms. The chair's distinctive backrest forms an organic shell that leans back and springs back slightly, making the chair very comfortable.

It is as contemporary and current today as it was when it was launched in the 1950s! Ideal for a dining room, it is also perfectly suited to a hallway, bedroom or office.

Designer

Børge Mogensen is one of the most important and influential representatives of Danish design. Almost everyone in Denmark knows his designs from the famous FDB modern furniture of the 1940s to the countless classics that have furnished homes and public spaces in Denmark since World War II.

Børge Mogensen believed that furniture should adapt to people, not the other way around, and that the functional quality of furniture was paramount. The entire range of his sofas, dining tables and chairs is characterised by a recurring theme: simple lines, solid wood surfaces and soft cordovan leather. A modern design with a distinguished history.
