The J81 chair is an iconic piece in the FDB Møbler catalogue. It features a frame made of turned wooden bars and a rope seat. It offers extra comfort thanks to its curved back that extends into rounded armrests. The twisted oak posts made of FSC®-certified wood and the woven seat highlight the natural choice of materials and are of high quality.

The chair is as contemporary and current today as it was when it was launched in the 1960s! Ideal for a dining room, it is also perfectly suited to a hallway, bedroom or office.

As wood is a natural material, differences in shade may appear between different pieces of furniture.

Designer

Jørgen Bækmark is the creator of several iconic Danish furniture pieces. From 1958, he headed the design studio at FDB Møbler for nine years, where he helped make designer furniture accessible to everyone.

Inspired by the Danish design tradition, his furniture is distinguished by its beauty and calm, as well as its quality of execution and attention to detail. His furniture exudes a unique harmony, as evidenced by his classic J80 and J81 dining chairs. But above all, Jørgen Bækmark has always strived to make furniture that is a pleasure to sit in.
