Who is behind 1320°?

My name is Cynthia, I am 29 years old and I have been working with ceramics for 4 years. I created my brand 1320° in 2020, when I started sharing my creations on Instagram. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my style immediately appealed. My business has grown rapidly and today we are a small group of 3 people working in the workshop to create our unique pieces. 

 

What do you want with 1320° ?

1320° is a brand of artisanal ceramics. We make everything by hand in our workshop located in the South of France, in Perpignan. We offer utility and decorative pieces: mugs, cups, plates, vases etc. All in a fun universe (like the BOOBS mugs and plant pots), and colorful, with lots of pastel colors.

What are your inspirations?

I draw my inspiration from the things that affect me on a daily basis. I like clean, round shapes, mixtures of textures, and pastel colors. My love for vintage is also reflected in my interior decoration, which is mainly composed of pieces found during my visits to flea markets. This aesthetic translates into my creations, where I like to work with speckled stoneware, which reminds me of ceramics from the 70s and 80s. Sometimes I add touches of gold to modernize my pieces and give them a jewelry look.

 

Your favorite product?

At the moment, my favorite duo for creating a cozy and comforting atmosphere is the 1320° candle with the delicious scent of hazelnut praline, accompanied by hot tea in my WINTER cup, with its pretty gradient of winter colors.

New projects soon?

I'm currently doing research to find new colors for my spring collection. The enamels are very complex and fascinating. It takes a lot of work and testing to get the results you want. I focus my research mainly on two colors: a powder pink and a lilac, which will complement my palette of soft colors.

What is your favorite room in the house?

My favorite space in the house is undoubtedly the living room, a cozy and welcoming place where I can relax and feel at ease. I love being surrounded by my cats, while enjoying the warmth and light of a fireplace.

Your guilty pleasure in decoration?

Without hesitation, plants! I have them everywhere, whether at home or in the workshop. They bring a touch of greenery and vitality, while creating a soothing atmosphere. I am truly passionate and take care of it with care.

Tell us about your latest decorative purchase?

My last two finds to decorate my living room: a corner shelf which allowed me to hang a plant high up. I also fell for a poster with an inspiring quote that helps me keep a positive mindset and remind me that small moments of motivation can have a significant impact on my daily life.
