Letmissi Vase - Jar
Letmissi is the fruit of the passion of an autodidact in architecture and decoration, Caroline Granjon. Wool has always been present in her universe and it is quite naturally that she became interested in felted wool to create vintage-inspired and eco-responsible lighting. After a career in the textile industry, she felt the need to give meaning to things by offering unique creations, entirely handmade in the Landes, from a local raw material that was often thrown away.
Back to basics and passionate, Caroline Granjon has imagined suspensions, portable lamps, vases and cachepots that recall the shapes of yesteryear while offering a soft and cozy atmosphere. She likes the idea of the contrast between the pure lines of an object and the raw side of the animal fibre.
The traditional technique used is that of so-called "wet" felted wool, worked with soap and hot water. Felt is used like a fabric: waterproof and stronger, it has the advantage of being flame retardant, anti-allergenic, dirt-repellent, ecological, biodegradable, durable and light.
