These elegant, decorative & fine candles are handcrafted by one of the last candle makers in France and are obtained using an ancestral manufacturing method. The so-called "diving" candle manufacturing method allows you to shape conical candles, thinner at the top. The cotton wicks are arranged in a U shape on wooden sticks, fixed on frames then dipped in wax by the wax craftsmen. Color pigments are sprinkled into the melted wax. The colors obtained are lively and sometimes surprising to create unexpected shades. The candles burn slowly and do not emit smoke. Once lit, the candle offers a soft and pleasant glow.
Maison Pechavy recently fell in love with a French candle maker, La cigerie des Prémontrés. Labeled a Living Heritage Company, this candle maker offers ancestral know-how in the manufacture of brightly colored tapers and candles, using tools over 100 years old.
